Donna Huntsman says
Florena was a precious light in my life. The wisest woman i have ever known..her kind and loving spirit touched and enveloped me every time i saw her. I always walked away feeling better having been with her.. even 2 weeks ago when we had a visit. Even in her pain she was the gracious beautiful woman that i have known and looked up to my whole adult life. ..her willingness to share herself, to share her knowledge, to freely listen and and give advice… her incredible wisdom..the spiritual mentor I have so badly needed. She always made me feel special. I am truly blessed to have known her. I will miss her so much. She was an amazing woman. With all of my love,
Donna
Barbara Barker Jenkins says
Jerry and Florena attended First Friends Meeting in Richmond, IN for a time several years ago, and were in a prayer group with about a dozen of us. It was a joy to know both of them. They surely enriched our fellowship.

I, too, knew Florena through First Friends. I had the great pleasure of singing with her in the choir, and I still remember her beautiful, clear soprano voice — as well as her warmth , graciousness and gentle humor.
Sylvia Daniels says
I am Florena’s cousin. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting her when my Aunt Louise (her birth mother) died. It was a bittersweet meeting and one that I will always be thankful for. I Love You “Cuz”
